    Dr. Ashley Hoolash started his academic career at The University of Greenwich, London, UK, initially assuming the role of Tutor in 2000 before progressing to the position of Lecturer in Mathematics in 2003. During his tenure, he contributed to the undergraduate Mathematics programme by delivering courses and supervising both undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) projects. Notably, he spearheaded the establishment of the Undergraduate Ambassadors Scheme, an initiative placing final-year Mathematics undergraduates in secondary schools to support mathematics educators. Additionally, in 2003, he founded The Mathematics Society (MathSoc) at The University of Greenwich, London, UK.

    Transitioning to the Ministry of Education in Mauritius, Dr. Hoolash served as an Educator from 2006 to 2010. Following this, he joined Middlesex University (Mauritius Campus), initially as a Mathematics Lecturer in 2010 and later ascending to the role of Senior Lecturer in 2016. In March 2020, he assumed the responsibilities of Academic Head of the School of Business, Innovation, and Creativity. Subsequently, in May 2023, he assumed leadership as the Head of School for the School of Foundation Education.

    Dr Ashley Hoolash also leads the Centre for Mathematics and Statistics Teaching and Learning (CeMaSTeL - https://www.cemastel.org/) at Middlesex University Mauritius. He is a Fellow at the Higher Education Academy, UK (FHEA), Fellow at The Institutute of Mathematics and its Applications, UK (FIMA), and a Chartered Mathematician, UK (CMath).
