Biography
Dr Quoc-Tuan Vien is currently a Senior Lecturer with the Faculty of Science and Technology at Middlesex University. He has authored a textbook, co-authored five book chapters and more than 100 publications in ISI journals and major conference proceedings. His main research interests include physical layer security, network coding, non-orthogonal multiple access, RF energy harvesting, device-to-device communications, heterogeneous networks, wireless network-on-chip, public safety networks, cloud radio access networks and the Internet of Things. He was a recipient of the Best Paper Award at the IEEE/IFIP 14th International Conference on Embedded and Ubiquitous Computing in 2016. He was honoured as an Exemplary Reviewer of the IEEE Communications Letters in 2017. He currently serves an Editor for the Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing and the International Journal of Digital Multimedia Broadcasting; and a Guest Editor for the Springer Mobile Networks and Applications, the EAI Endorsed Transactions on Industrial Networks and Intelligent Systems and the MDPI Electronics. He is also a frequent reviewer of the IEEE journals. He has been serving as the Program Co-Chair for the EAI International Conference on Industrial Networks and Intelligent Systems (INISCOM 2018-2022), the Technical Symposium Co-Chair for the International Conference on Recent Advances in Signal Processing, Telecommunications and Computing (SigTelCom 2017-2021), a Session Chair at IEEE flagship conferences including the IEEE WCNC, VTC and ISWCS, and a TPC member of over 100 conferences, such as the IEEE ICC, PIMRC, ICNC, VTC, ISWCS, ATC, etc.
Dr Vien is currently a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Fellow of the HEA.
