    Biography

    Vinaya joined the university in 2010 after completing his PhD atCardiff Business School. He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Strategy,Leadership and Operations Department and also the Programme Leader for theMasters in Global Supply Chain Management programme. He is an active researcherin the areas of sustainable supply chain management, technology applications(such as Industry 4.0, Blockchain, Data analytics and artificial intelligence)in supply chain management including for sustainability, supply chain riskmanagement and supply chain systems supervising and examining PhDs, andpublishing in prestigious journals in these areas. Vinaya is also an ExternalExaminer for the postgraduate Operations and Supply Chain Management modulesand programmes at Kingston and Greenwich universities.  

    Earlier, he was the Programme Leader for the MBA programme andalso the Link Tutor for the MBA franchise to Niels Brock Copenhagen BusinessCollege. He has also worked for several years as a Management Consultant onsupply chain management and operations performance improvementprojects. He has a Bachelors and Masters in Engineering from IIT Kanpur,Masters in Operations Research from Lancaster University, MBA from S.P JainInstitute of Management and Research and PhD from Cardiff BusinessSchool. 

    Vinaya is a member of the Chartered Institute of Logisticsand Transport (CILT), the Association for Supply Chain Management (ASCM), theCouncil of Supply Chain Management Professionals (CSCMP), and the Higher EducationAcademy.
