My Role at MDX

I joined MDX in February 2024, I am a member of staff in the Faculty of Health, Social Care and Education.

My current role includes supporting Nursing & Midwifery, Initial Teacher Training, Social Work, Health Care Sciences and Sports Sciences students in the process of obtaining DBS Checks for their academic placements.

In additional to this, I am part of the HED Occupational Health team, whereby I answer OH related queries for Nursing, Vet Nursing & Midwifery students and the teaching team. As well as other related OH Administrative tasks in the Nursing Department. 

About me

Prior to joining MDX I was a serving Police Officer. I left the service to embark on a new career to support students in their experiences of University. I am a new graduate in BSc Criminology from Cardiff University as of July 2023. 

Because of this, I can understand and relate completely the pressures, deadlines and intensity of University for students. But, how amazing University was for me and my career!
