Biography

I'm an artist and researcher. I trained in sculpture, and my practice also includes drawing, performance, video and writing. My work has been shown across the UK and internationally including presentations of my work at the Serpentine, ICA, Barbican in the UK, MOMA PS1 in New York, Lafayette Anticipations in Paris, Si Shang Art Museum in Beijing, and the Wrocław Media Biennale in Poland.

I'm currently finishing a practice based PhD at Kingston School of Art, supervised across the contemporary art and drama department, titled, 'Talking about Shame'. I have presented this research at conferences and in peer reviewed journals, including an article for Performance Research called, 'Why do I Keep Crying?' in 2024.

Alongside my formal teaching work as an academic, alternative pedagogy is part of my practice. I have run The Bad Vibes Club since 2014. The Bad Vibes Club has taken the form of reading groups, lecture programmes, research projects, publications, and is now a regular podcast. The most recent series was a reading group podcast called, Ten Texts on Sculpture, (2023-24) made with the artist and academic Andrea Francke. Our next series will focus on painting.
