Ms Robin Parsons

Since 2020, Robin has served as a midwifery lecturer at Middlesex University, having transitioned from a career as a research midwife. Her primary focus lies in nurturing future midwives, which is evident in her teaching approach, employing simulation, reflection, and fostering critical thinking skills among her students. Stemming from her experience as a research midwife, Robin is dedicated to upholding excellence in evidence-based midwifery practices to ensure high quality care for both mothers and newborns. Presently, she is pursuing a PhD at Middlesex University, investigating the impact of discourse on midwives' professional identity.
