Research activities
I examine people's judgment and decision-making strategies, the factors that influence their risk perceptions, and how they communicate probabilistic information. My research employs primarily quantitative methods (i.e., experiments, surveys and statistical modelling). I often work in applied domains such as criminal courts, and intelligence analysis. I also have a background in Criminology, and so I have published research on restorative justice (victim-offender mediation), and other socio-legal/political issues. I would be willing to supervise PhD students who are interested in any of the above topics.
