Undergraduate - Year 1

For entry to most undergraduate courses, you must have completed Maturita exam with an overall minimum grade of 4 out of 6, depending on the programme you apply for. Each course will have specific grade requirements and some will have prerequisites, such as prior study in a specific subject or submission of a portfolio. You will need to provide a letter of reference from an academic source and a personal statement.

Undergraduate - Year 2 and 3

If you have successfully passed at least one year's higher studies in a relevant subject area you may able to enter directly onto the second or third year of one of our undergraduate degrees as a transfer student. We require 60 ECTS for entry to year two, and 120 ECTS for entry to year three. Acceptance is based on a curriculum match between your prior study and the syllabus at Middlesex.

You will need to provide a letter of reference from an academic source and a personal statement.

Postgraduate

For most postgraduate courses you must hold a good first degree, or four years of higher study in an academic institution, as part of a five-year master's degree course. Ideally you will need a Licence, Diplôme d'État, Diplôme, Staatsdiplom, Lizentiat, Diplom, Diploma di Stato, Licenza, Diploma – minimum 4-5/6, 6-8/10, 2-3/5 (grading system depends on county).

Our MBA courses require at least two years of post-graduation work experience at management level, and in some cases a GMAT score of over 550 will also be required.

If you are a Swiss/EEA national, you may be eligible to pay UK home fees if you meet the necessary requirements and send evidence of the required categories. Please note that all international and Non UK/EU students are assessed as overseas payers. Any applications and eligibility to pay home fees are subject to review by our admissions team.

To be considered as a Home fee payer you will need to meet the following criteria specified by the UK Council for International Student Affairs (UKCISA)

Category 1 - EEA/Swiss workers, and family

In order to qualify for 'home' fees under this category, you must meet all of the following criteria:

On the first day of an academic year of your course you must be:

and

  • you must be ordinarily resident in the UK on the first day of the first academic year of the course (unless you are an EEA or Swiss frontier worker or relevant family member of a frontier worker)

and

  • You must have been ordinarily resident in the EEA and/or Switzerland and/or the overseas territories for the three years before the first day of the first academic year of the course.

Category 2 - Child of a Swiss national

In order to qualify for 'home' fees under this category, you must meet all of the following criteria:

and

  • (b) You must be ordinarily resident in the UK on the first day of the first academic year of the course

and

  • (c) You must have been ordinarily resident in the EEA and/or Switzerland and/or the overseas territories for the three years before the first day of the first academic year of the course

and

  • (d) If the main purpose for your residence in (c) above, was wholly or mainly for the purpose of receiving full-time education, you must have been ordinarily resident in the EEA and/or Switzerland immediately before that three-year period.

Note: If you become the child of a Swiss national part-way through your course, you might become entitled to pay 'home' fees - you can seek advice on this from an adviser at your institution, your Students' Union or telephone our  UKCISA students' advice line.

The following requirements must be met in order for your visa application to be successful:

UKVI Requirements

  • Submit an online application through the UKVI website. You will need to submit your valid CAS, payment of the visa fee and immigration health surcharge
  • Upload the relevant supporting documents (passport, academic documents, evidence of meeting or being exempt from English language requirements, evidence of meeting financial requirements, ATAS certificate if required, TB test certificate if required)
  • Biometric data collected at the visa application centre
  • You must be able to provide evidence that you can meet the financial requirements if asked to do so, but you do not need to provide this evidence at the time of application.

Successful applicants will receive an Entry Clearance vignette in their passport and will be able to collect their Biometric Residence permit in the UK.
